Meet Dr. Douglas Ainslie

The heart of our mission is to find opportunities to show our clients how their own efforts make orthodontic treatment the best that it can be.

I grew up in the Portland area and enjoy working with people in the community. I graduated from Portland State University in 1979 with a BS in biology. Dental school kept me close to home as well; I earned a Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University, and graduated with honors in 1983. Orthodontic specialty training took me to Northwestern University in Chicago.

I opened the Portland office in 1985, and as my family grew, we decided to build a second office near my home in West Linn.

When I’m not in the office, I enjoy welding, woodworking, gardening, and spending time with my wife Rhande, daughter Cameron, and sons Bryce, Mitchyl, and Gaige.

My professional memberships include the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Oregon Dental Association, and the Multnomah Dental Society. I am also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
